Sirajul Islam

 (1936 –2010)

A true genius, great leader, entrepreneur, M. Sirajul Islam was born in Jashore  district under Khulna Division on 1936.His father was  Late Al-hajj Abdul Aziz and his mother was Late Nurjahan  Begum.

The founder of Resco Biscuit & Bread Factory (pvt.) Ltd. Late M. Sirajul Islam made remarkable contribution to our country’s economy. Late M. Sirajul Islam was a meticulous businessman. He started Bakery Business In 1960. In 1971 during the war of liberation he was arrested by the Pakistan Army for aiding and abetting the freedom fighters and taken to the Jashore Circuit House. He escaped from Pakistani military while wearing handcuffs in hand. He took shelter at India Border freedom Fighters Camp. When he came back and found that his favorite factory had been burned by the Pakistan Army.

He again dreamed to rise above and take his business to new heights. Accordingly he started the business with semi-auto appliances. Later he thought about modern equipment, production design, and technology. So he imported automated biscuit machines from Japan and started business in the food Industry around 1989.

He established Resco Biscuit & Bread Factory (Pvt.) Ltd. with the vision of:

  1. To eliminate unemployment through employment.
  2. Building skilled manpower through training.
  3. Women empowerment.
  4. Production of safe and quality food to achieve Business reputation through customer’s satisfaction service. He created women–friendly workplaces and created employment opportunities for helpless men and women, benefiting helpless families financially.
